The one thing that I have found out after years of gardening is to pay attention to choices. If someone has a lot of time to plant, weed, and generally fuss over their garden then they can pretty much plant flowers that will bloom in their region regardless of what they plant. As long as it is appropriate for their location and area of country they live in. However, if someone wants a garden that will take care of itself then choices will have to be made.Sometimes that may be as simple as asking a neighbor what they may have had success with, Also reading magazines or books, visiting a city garden, Or talking to your local extension office. Other choices to be made is where to plant them,You need to ask yourself this. Will it be in the shade , full sun, island beds, borders such as down a driveway or around your house? These questions are necessary because if you do not think it through you will have a problem later on. The right choices you make in the beginning will ultimatly give you a beautiful garden to be admired for years to come. |
