ABOUT P.S.A.

Rainbow trout

The Puget Sound Anglers is an organization of independent chapters, with common goals and interests, bound only by integrity and fellowship, with the goal of preserving, protecting and enhancing the sports fisheries of Washington State

The outline of the organization is to retain an independent nature. The State Board was formed with members of each of the chapters and was to be responsible to those chapters. The State Board was to assist the forming of new chapters and promote membership.  In addition, it was to help communications among the chapters regarding fund raising and projects of interest to all members.

Lake Washington chapter of Puget Sound Angler's primary focus is in enhancing
the Lake Washington fishery, first by providing and maintaining incubator sites around the Lake where we annually release between 250,000 to 500,000 salmon fry into the Lake Washington system. Secondly, we continue to actively campaign for increased hatchery capability for sockeye salmon into the Cedar River. Thirdly, we teach the latest fishing techniques for a variety of Puget Sound and Lake Washington species, plus promote conservation of fish and wildlife in cooperation with the game management agencies.
