| Our lives are like a puzzle. We go through every day searching for the perfect piece for that day, hoping to put it in the proper place, so that at the end of our lives all the puzzle is complete. We desire to leave the world a beautiful picture of ourselves. But, there is no beautiful picture at the end of our lives unless we know the Creator of the puzzle and the picture He intended us to be. You see, in the beginning, God created everything, and He also created you and me. (Genesis 1) He looked over His creation saw that everything He had made was very good. The last thing that He created was mankind, which, as the crowning work of His creation, He made in His own image.. He put the man and woman He had made in a beautiful garden, and He provided for all their needs. To top it all off, God gave to mankind his own free will, to choose to do good or evil. | 1. Admit to God that you agree with Him, that you are a sinner in need of salvation. (1 John 1:9) 2. Believe that Jesus is God's Son, who lived a perfect life, and gave His life in our place as a sacrifice to God for us, which is redemption. He paid the debt we owed but could not pay. Ask Him to be your Savior. (Ephesians 2:8,9, Romans 10:9,10, 13) 3. Commit your life to the Lord. Ask Jesus to come into your life, and live in you heart to be your personal guide through life. | The problem is, that the original sin in the garden is shared by all mankind. (Rom. 3:9,23) We have all sinned and fallen short of our Creator's original purpose to bring Him glory. The greatest tragedy is that our sin's have earned us death; spiritual separation from God. (Isa. 59:1,2, Rom. 6:23a) Because of our sins, we have lost our relationship with the One who created us. Try as we might, we cannot remove the sin barrier on our own, (Proverbs 14:12) so God, in His great mercy - (not giving to us what we deserve) provided a way for us to be saved from our sins. (John 3:16) He came to us, in the person of His Son, perfect, (John 1:14) sinless, able to be a sacrifice for us, to pay for our sins. (John 3:16,17, Romans 5:8) Jesus in the missing piece in the puzzle of our lives. He is the only way to a restored relationship with our Creator, God our Father. (John 14:6) He is the absolute truth - God in the flesh, and by His death on a Roman cross on our behalf, we are reconciled to God (Colossians 1:13-22). In Jesus we find life, full, abundant, joyful life! (John 1:1-4) If something is missing from your life today, why don't you get a bible and look up the verses above. God loves you, and He wants to have a personal relationship with you. |
