A patch of trees in the front yard provides a screen and shade for the house in the summer, and nesting areas for Northern Cardinals and Gray Catbirds.

The wildlife pond in the fenced backyard has a mini-deck, much used in the summer for evening meals. It's also a wonderful outdoor office for a wirelessly networked laptop user!
The wildlife pond is landscaped with rocks dug up from the yard, and logs harvested from Red Cedar trees in our woods. A string of path lights around the pond allow us to enjoy it at night too.
