Lake Tekapo is one of only two international Waterskiing Tournament sites in the South Island, with two slalom courses and a jump on the lake for members use.
We have coaching days each season with top class coaches of international experience..
For the beginning child or adult to the advanced skier we encourage our skiers. There are trophies and certificates to be won in all grades at our Club Championship.
We are hosts for the Canterbury Slalom (handicap and open) and the South Island Relay Championships.
The Tournament Nationals have been held at Tekapo on four occasions, including the 1974 World Group III Championships.
For the family boatie we have fun days, boat racing and gymkhana type events.
Our club rooms are situated in the Motor Camp Domain, overlooking the launching ramps, on the beautiful beach and bay at the foot of Mount John.
Members are encouraged to use the club house facilities - cooking , dining, television, stereo, pool, or darts. Join in the barbeques or just enjoy the view and general boatie chat.
We have a tractor for members use, if there is any difficulty in launching your boat.
We have ski gear for members use - wakeboards, jump skis, children skis and kneeboards.
