We
would like to remind everyone of a few rules and regulations, which are always a
problem.
1.
Absolutely
no animals are allowed in the parks! Although we all would like to have our animals also enjoy the lake, its
inevitable they will leave their trademarks behind for the next person to find.
2.
While
walking with your animal on our streets, not only is it common courtesy to always
clean up after your animal, it is also a DeWitt City Ordinance.
3.
Detached
Storage sheds are not allowed.
4.
Satellite
dishes are not allowed.
5.
We
request all individuals fishing on the lake to adhere on a strict CATCH
AND RELEASE policy when it comes to bass and northern pike as they are
needed to keep the bluegill/speck population under control.
Small panfish (i.e., bluegill and perch) are available to catch and eat.
6.
The
motor limitation on boats in the lake is under 10 horsepower for pontoons.
All boats need to adhere to a NO WAKE speed at
all times.
If need be, enforcement action may have to be brought
against owners of oversize motors.
7.
Association
dues are due in full by June 15th. Anyone who has not paid their dues will receive a SECOND
NOTICE.
Failure to pay your dues may result in a lien against your property!
8.
Just as a reminder, if you plan to go to the beaches, be
sure to take your
beach tag with
you! It is required and you may
asked to present it. This also
applies to members
who may be out on their watercraft.
A member needs to be present with a guest using the lake.
9.
A
locked gate has been installed at the boat launch on the east beach. If you require access to the boat launch, a key must be
obtained from the board. You may
contact any board member to assist you.
There is a $5.00 deposit required for a key, which is refundable when the key is returned to a board member.
Keys are for the specific individual for which it was
requestedDO NOT give your key to anyone!
Please remember
to lock the gate when it is not in use!
10.
Effective
Summer 2000, ALL BOATS on Lake Geneva
will be REQUIRED to have a visible Lake Geneva boat sticker.
You may contact any board member to assist you in obtaining a Lake
Geneva boat sticker.
Boats without stickers may be asked to leave the
lake. This pass is for the specific
boat for which it was requestedDO NOT give your sticker to anyone!
11. Please help us to keep our records straight. If you notice any errors in your name, address, or lot number, let us know.
Thank you for your cooperation!
It
is imperative that we all follow the rules and regulations which will assist in
keeping our neighborhood, beaches, and lake, the best it can possibly be.
