BOARD OF DIRECTORS AND COMMITTEE DESCRIPTIONS

PRESIDENT

Current Member:  Bruce Wojcik

The President of the association is responsible for conducting the monthly and Annual Lake Association meetings. In addition, the President is the contact person for the city and any other outside parties, companies, pr agencies regarding Lake Association issues.  The President is also the contact person for most residents with any questions or concerns; directing the individual to the proper board member dealing with their area of concern or interest.

TREASURER

Current Member:  Daniel Bambery

SECRETARY

Current Member:  Wes Priem

The secretary position plays a vital role in keeping minutes of the monthly board meetings as well as the annual meeting.  Additional responsibilities can include, signatory for financial and legal documents, and coordination of meeting schedules and locations.

LAKE LEVEL COMMITTEE                                  

Current Committee Members:  Bruce Wojcik and Tim Walter

The Chairperson monitors the lake's water level to ensure a proper depth to accommodate boating in all areas.  This is accomplished by regulating the well pumps during the spring, summer and fall seasons in accordance with the DNR requirements.  Waterfront residents are encouraged to serve on this committee, they have the greatest opportunity of watching for the influx of new weed strains, inexplicable fish kill or other problems.

BEACH AND PARK MAINTENANCE COMMITTEE

Current Committee Members:  Mark Lipowski

The Chairperson coordinates the bid process for contracting lawn maintenance, porti-potties, playground equipment, security, and overall maintenance of the parks (i.e., shrubs, trees, flowers, sand, parking lots and signs).

WELCOMING COMMITTEE

Current Committee Members: Mark Lipowski, Brage Golding

The Chairperson makes sure a welcoming packet and directions for website usage are received by all new homeowners in the association.  The primary goal is to inform newcomers of the rules and functions of the association applying to the beach, etc.  Approximately one committee member per street is required.  The welcoming committee keeps the welcoming booklet updated and supplied to the committee members as needed.  The committee members are responsible to welcome newcomers on their street (or small designated area). Committee members do not fulfill the role of the �Welcome Wagon� person.  It is very enjoyable to participate if you have a natural inclination to welcome newcomers on your street. 

NEWSLETTER COMMITTEE                                                          

Current Committee Members:  Wes Priem and Bob McClean            

This committee provides a newsletter to members each spring and fall.  This newsletter provides information of interest as well as recent actions taken by the board.  It serves a vital service for providing reminders to members of use and restriction of property owners as well as upcoming events.  With the spring newsletter membership tags are mailed.  With the recent move to have a website, the newsletter will be published and made available electronically as well.     

DAM COMMITTEE

Current Committee Members:   Bruce Wojcik and Tim Walter 

The Dam Committee is responsible for monitoring the status of the dam area and coordinating with the Michigan Department of Environmental Quality (MDEQ) for periodic dam inspections and license certification.  The Dam Committee is responsible for implementing any actions and/or protocols put forth by the MDEQ as requisite for our dam license. 

BUILDING CONTROL AND USE COMMITTEE

Current Committee Members:   Daniel Bambery, Don Crouch, and Mark Lipowski

WEB SITE ADMINISTRATION

Current Committee Members: 

The Chairperson coordinates and maintains responsibility for the design, implementation, administration and maintenance of the web database.   The member manages resources related to the web development and activities.  The member works with the board, members, and affiliates to develop strategies to support the Associations needs. Oversees technical management of website including integration of approved content into website.  Collaborates with technical specialists in Internet software recommendation and selection.  Design of website for Lake Geneva Property Owners Association communications based on the Boards Internet strategies and goals.  Provide functional guidance to users.   The member should possess PC word processing and spreadsheet skills including website software knowledge, development skills, and have a strong Internet knowledge.  This committee is a year round obligation for someone who enjoys spending time working on the computer.
