In January 2007, Anne Ewaschuk, a member of our chorus, stepped up to fill the very large shoes of our departing director. Anne came to us in the fall of 2004, having retired with her husband to Orillia. Her great bass voice was much appreciated.

She soon made her presence known in other ways with her involvement in the social committee and the music committee, and eventually as an assistant director.

Anne was a church choir director in Elliot Lake, Ontario. As member of Magic City Chorus of Sweet Adelines International in Saskatoon for 12 years, she was totally involved in the chorus life as a section leader, choreo teacher, president, treasurer and some directing as well. She also embarked on director training education at that time.

She was employed in the public health field for many years. Anne made her public debut at our May Cabaret in 2007, and performed like a seasoned pro, having guided and encouraged us through an intense learning period during the winter. She attends director training seminars regularly.
