HOME OUR DIRECTOR COMMITTEES EVENTS JOIN US ACTIVITIES MEMBERS

We are a group of fun loving, hardworking women, who love to express ourselves through the unique harmony and showmanship of the barbershop style.

Our chorus was born as Simcoe County Connection, in 1975, a merger of the Melloblends of Barrie and the Georgian Bay Belles of Midland. Bonnie Drever (Harmony Queen with Black Magic) was the director, followed the next year by Marge (Drever) Wagner (also a Black Magic Harmony Queen).

Eventually the chorus moved to Orillia which we now call home, though we have members from various parts of Simcoe county and the Muskokas.

Marge remained as director until January 2003, and on her retirement Dennis Adams replaced her. In March 2003 we changed our name to Lake Country Harmony. In January of 2007 Anne Ewaschuk, one of our own members, stepped up to fill the void left by Denniss departure. We participate in the Area 5 contest annually and have several times qualified and competed in the International contest.

We are always busy with our local performances, special coaching and education days and fund raising activities. Major events in 2009 include:

January - Guest Performance @ Barbershop Harmony Inc. COTS Performance in Orillia
 February - New Members Night
