We always hear people say " Cats are unfeeling." I am always wondering, the conclusion is made by whom under what condition. Being unfeeling or not is a pretty subjective presumption, and not necessary corresponding to the fact of being unfeeling or not.
Confucius said " The only way to judge a person is to observe what he does and listen to what he says first." But we all have something that we don't want others to know. Even we do have the chance to observe someone's behavior and listen to his words, it is still questionable if we do have enough information to judge this person. Needless to say that we people just hardly understand cats' behavior and cat's words!!
It is of no doubt that we people don't understand cats' language, but how about cat's behavior??
Cats, don't beg like dogs, and don't bite things around like dogs when feeling lonely. But does this mean that cats don't care about their relationship with people??? How would people know cats' inside world under the indifferent face?? When cats lick their bodies preoccupiedly, how would people know that it is the furs they lick?? or the wounds in their hearts. |
