iPhone Price Drop

Steve Jobs announced a price drop in the Apple iPhone 8 Gigabyte version to $399.00 compared to it's previous $499.00 pricetag. The 4 Gigabyte model which before this was the cheaper alternative (priced at $399.00) will stop being in production.

On the bright side all current stock of the 4 gigabyte iPhones will be sold at $299.00 until their current stock runs out so if you've been wanting to buy one for a while but were scared away by the price this would be ideal for you.

To the suckers, who bought an iPhone on the first day it came out might feel a bit screwed seeing as this price drop comes only after 2 months of the iPhone being released. To it's "loyal" customers/Suckers who had already bought an iPhone before the price drop will all recieve a $100.00 gift card from Apple as a reward for their loyalty/stupidity. This way apple keeps the customers happy which means they will buy products from them in the future, as well as sucker the person into coming in the store again to use his $100.00 gift certificate to buy something worth more than $100.00 on something he would never have originaly bought.

As for the rest of us, we can only hope that the new iPhone model, coming out during Christmas of 2007 with 3g capabilities, will carry the same pricetag as the first generation ones.
