Chapter Thirteen- Wow! That Was Some Fight!
Matt stared at her for what seemed like an eternity then smiled. "I already fell in love."
"Don't tell me that."
"Why not?"
"Some things are just better left unsaid."
"Well, I wanted to be honest and up front with you."
"OK. I'm sorry....I just...."
"Need me to prove it right?"
"You don't have to prove anything."
"You don't believe me though. What does that tell me?"
"Matt, we just met tonight......don't tell me that you already fell in love."
"You told me that you believe in love at first sight. Did you lie to me or something? Besides, you just told me that you could easily fall in love with me. Why are you being a hypocrite?"
"Whatever." she rolled her eyes.
"No. Don't say whatever. Just tell me if you lied to me or not. I can handle the truth."
"I said that I COULD easily fall in love with you....I didn't tell you that I was in love with you ......and why the hell are you rushing this? Don't put pressure on me."
"I'm not putting pressure on you and I'm not rushing anything. I'm being honest with you...I thought you were the type of girl who would appreciate something like that, but I guess I was wrong."
"Yeah..you were wrong. Now if you'll excuse me I have to go make a phone call."
"Who are you calling? Mommy and daddy?"
"Does it matter who I call?"
"No, not really. It doesn't matter to me. You could call your boyfriend and I wouldn't give a shit. I'd tell him what kind of girl you are."
"I don't have a fuckin' boyfriend you asshole."
"Don't call me an asshole."
"Then stop acting like one."
"I'm not acting like one."
"Then why are you being so mean to me all of a sudden?"
"Because you think I don't love you when YOU have NO CLUE what I'M FEELING!"
"WE JUST MET TONIGHT!"
"So what! I can't help the way I feel and I told you that!"
"I just.......ugh. Whatever. Fuck it."
"You are so scared of letting someone get close to you...you're scared of having somebody love you. You're scared of getting close to someone."
"You don't know what you're talking about."
"Yeah, I definitely do. You're trying to push me away, but it isn't working."
"I'm not trying to push you away. THAT'S THE LAST THING ON MY MIND! I just don't want you saying that you already fell in love about 3 and a half hours after we met.....we still barely know each other."
"Why do you think I asked you to come over? I wanted to spend more time with you so I could get to know you better and when you leave to go back home, you have no idea how much I'm gonna miss you."
"Yeah and you've been getting to know that I'm a total bitch."
"Still have cramps?" he asked changing the subject.
"Yeah. My stomach really hurts."
"Come on. Let's go downstairs."
Matt took her by the hand and said, "I'm really sorry. I should be more understanding."
"Me too. I'm sorry about the whole 'asshole' thing."
"Do you really think I'm an asshole though?"
"You're just a punk. You're not an asshole. Sometimes I forget to think before I say something."
"Me too and um, about that boyfriend thing.....I'd get jealous so I would care if you did call him."
"You have nothing to get jealous of though. I'm single."
"I can still change that, can't I?"
"Hmm...we'll just have to wait and see."
"Can I ask you something?"
"You can ask me anything. I'm an open book....sort of."
"So do you masturbate?" Matt joked. He laughed.
"Don't be a smartass Matt. That's NOT what I meant."
"Hey, it was worth a shot."
"Haha."
"No, but seriously....about you saying you might wake up in my arms tomorrow...."
"Yeah? What about it?"
"Will....you keep me company?"
"When? Tonight?"
"Yeah...tonight."
"We said that we'd be sleeping in different rooms..."
"Yeah, I know, but..I just wanna hold you."
"OK. Fine...but if you try anything you're gonna get your ass kicked."
"I won't try anything. I promise...like I said..I just wanna hold you."
