Chapter Twelve: Jesse, the Asshole
"So, Lorr, do you have a boyfriend?" Matt asked out of curiosity.
"No. Why?" Lori looked over at him and said, "Actually, I don't think I want one."
"How come?" Jesse asked walking into the room. Lori looked up at him and said, "Because guys are jerks. Girls actually think you can trust them when you can't. Guys always manage someway to let you down."
"Some guys Lorr," Jessica corrected her.
"ALL guys, Jess," Lori said.
"So who let you down?" Jesse inquired. Lori looked at him and said, "I don't know. Figure it out. You know what? I really don't want to talk about it. Forget it."
"Lorr----" Matt said.
"Yeah Matt?" She asked looking at him.
"Would you want to do something tomorrow?" He questioned. Lori looked at him then at Jesse. She remembered that he had invited her to go to the arcade with him and the guys.
"Actually, Jesse invited me to go the arcade with you guys tomorrow, but I'm sure that's a lie just like everything else so yeah, I'll do something tomorrow," she answered confidently. "Besides, he's probably busy with his girlfriend, Ashley."
"She's not my girlfriend," Jesse told her.
"Oh and when I went to get a soda earlier he was telling 'Ashley' that he didn't have any plans tomorrow after the fact that he asked me if I wanted to go to the arcade with him and his friends," Lori added.
"You heard my conversation?" Jesse asked. Lori smiled at him and said, "I heard you say that she was your girlfriend, too."
"Are you like my stalker now?" Jesse asked angrily. "You're just a fan. Get over yourself," He went on even more angrily.
"Jesse!" Chris, Greg and Matt shouted at him.
"She doesn't have a right to intefere with my personal life," Jesse told them.
"Then don't make shit up!" Lori shouted at him. "And I wasn't intefering with your personal life! You're the one who was leading me on!"
"Sweetie, I wasn't leading you on so get over yourself," Jesse retorted. Lori stared at him in complete shock then said, "You told me that I was pretty and that you couldn't stop thinking about me. Are you just using me so you can see how far you can get with one of your fans?"
Jesse stared at her and said, "You are such a bitch."
"Tell me something I don't know," Lori said as her voice got louder.
"Matt has the hots for you," Jesse said. He chuckled and said, "I don't know why but he does."
"Jesse shut the fuck up! You're being an asshole!" Matt shouted at him.
"Then tell your girlfriend to leave me the hell alone," Jesse said. He looked at Lori and said, "You are so nosy sometimes. Somebody really needs to help you with that problem."
"I'm not nosy. I just care about you guys!" Lori shouted.
Lori stared at Jesse and said, "And even though you're being an asshole right now, I care about you."
"You don't care about me. You just want to see if you can get together with me, which is never going to happen," Jesse cut in.
"Why would I want to be with an asshole, Jesse?" Lori asked sarcastically.
"Jesse, just leave her alone," Matt said.
"Can't answer my question Lorr?" Jesse questioned as he glared at her.
"Don't call me Lorr you asshole," Lori said. She walked over to him and smacked him across the face then ran up the stairs to her bedroom.
