I Think You're Perfect -Chapter Three

Greg: Have I told you how much I love you?
Lori: You tell me all the time.
Greg: Well, when I say it I just want to say it over and over again.
Lori: Won't you like get sick of sayin' it?
Greg: No.
Lori: You sure about that?
Greg: Yeah I'm sure about that.
Lori: I heart you.
Greg laughed.
Greg: I heart you, too.
Lori: Are you glad I'm staying?
Greg: You know I am.
Lori: OK. I guess I knew that.
Greg: You did. You just wanted to hear me say it.
Lori: You know me too well.
Greg: It's kinda scary considering the fact taht we met a couple days ago.
Lori: Well you sure knew what I wanted when we hooked up.
Greg smiled.
Greg: Yeah and you knew what I wanted, too.
Lori: Yeah I did.
Greg: I wish we could hook up all over again.
Lori: Maybe we will.
Greg: Don't tease me.
Lori: Who said I was teasing? (pause) And you better not like me just 'cuz you got laid.
Greg: No. I love you unconditionally. Nothing will change that.
Lori: Good.
Greg: I hope you love me unconditionally, too, not because I'm a member of some boy band.
Lori: I'm not shallow Greg. I mean I have my moments, but with you- I'm like a different person.
Greg: I just hope you don't go changing on me.
Lori: I won't.

* With Kristin and Matt *

Kristin: So umm....what's gonna happen to us when I go back to Laguna Beach?
Matt: I'm still gonna be crazy about you. Distance won't change that. And I'm still gonna love you. (pause) I just hope you won't forget me.
Kristin: I won't forget you Matt. I'll never forget you.
Matt: You will. I just know it
Kristin: And why do you say that?
Matt: Because I won't be there ..I mean, once all those guys start hittin' on you who's gonna be there to stop you from hookin' up with them?
Kristin: Obviously you forgot what Lori told you.
Matt: What'd she tell me?
Kristin: She told you that I talk to her about you constantly.
Matt: You say that now but it could change once you get back to Laguna Beach.
Kristin: Matt, I- I love you.
Matt: Kristin.
Kristin: Yeah?
Matt: I love you, too. (pause) I've loved you since I first laid eyes on you.
Kristin: Are you kidding me? You loved me since you first laid eyes on me?
Matt: Yeah, I have. You- You had the weirdest effect on me. I just wasn't expecting someone like you to come into my life but now- I'm really glad you did.
Kristin: You weren't expecting to---
Matt: I wasn't expecting to what?
Kristin: You weren't expecting to fall in love.
Matt: I wasn't expecting to fall in love with a girl like you. (pause) I wasn't expecting this- I wasn't expecting to fall in love but then you happened. I just couldn't stop having all these feelings for you. It just felt right, it felt natural. (pause) I just wish I could keep you here with me forever.
Kristin: I could always buy my own penthouse here in New York. I could come here on vacations. It might be good for a change. I'm always going to Mammoth or Cabo for vacations.
Matt: Well now you'd have a reason to come to New York.
Kristin: (dumbfounded) And what reason would that be?
He took her hand and stared into her beautiful brown eyes.
Matt: Me. (pause) Kristin, I can't live without you. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me. I need you in my life.
Kristin: You're crazy about me, aren't you?
Matt: Yeah I am and you know it.
Kristin: Yeah, I guess I do. (pause) So umm whatcha wanna do tonight?
Matt: I wanna have sex.
Kristin giggled.
Kristin: With who?
Matt: You.
Kristin grinned then kissed him passionately. Just as Matt was about to respond she backed away.
Kristin: Maybe someday.
Matt: What do you mean 'maybe someday'? We already hooked up.
Kristin: You got lucky.
She giggled again then grinned.
Kristin: And maybe, just maybe, you'll get lucky again.
Matt: You're playin'.
Kristin: No I'm not. I'm for real. I just hope you don't think less of me because I had sex with you.
Matt: I don't think less of you. I love you. I just- I want you so much.
Kristin: Damn Matt. You got it bad.
Matt: I got it bad for you.
Kristin: You make it obvious.
Matt: I'm trying to make it obvious. I'm not going to hide my feelings for you. (pause) My- you've changed me.
Kristin: How have I changed you?
Matt: I don't- I've never- I don't know. It's unexplainable.
Kristin: Right.
Matt: I feel like you've given me the meaning of life. You make me wanna be the best man I can be.
Kristin: I- Really? I do that?
Matt: You do that and a whole lot more.
Kristin: Matt.
Matt: Kristin.
Kristin: Will you spend the night?
Matt: With you, in your hotel room?
Kristin: Yeah. (pause) I want you to spend the night with me.
Matt: You don't want to be alone, do you?
Kristin: I want to be alone with you.
Matt: You're trying to seduce me.
Kristin: Damnit. How'd you know?
Matt: I know my girl.
Kristin: Your girl?
Matt: Well, at least I hope you are.
Kristin: Is that your way of asking me out or somethin'?
Matt: I don't know. I'm so messed up right now.
Kristin: Why?
Matt: Kristin, I---
Kristin: You what?
Matt: I love you so much.
Kristin: Matt, I love you, too.
Matt: I can tell you do.
Kristin: You can? How?
Matt: The look in your eyes.
Kristin: The look in my eyes?
Matt: Yeah. You're looking at me like you love me.
Kristin: I am?
Matt: Yeah, you are.
Kristin: And I thought I hid my feelings so well.
Matt: Don't.
Kristin: Don't what?
Matt: Don't hide your feelings for me.
Kristin: I didn't when we hooked up.
Matt: I know. (pause) I wish I could go back in time.
Kristin: Yeah. That'd be pretty sweet.
Matt: Kristin.
Kristin: What?
Matt: If you still want me to spend the night with you, I will.
Kristin: Matt.
Matt: Yeah princess?
Kristin: I want you with me.
Matt: I want you with me, too. I always want you with me.
Kristin: You're the sweetest guy I've ever met. (pause) All the other guys back home don't----
Matt: Don't compare to me?
Kristin: Y- Yeah. (pause) They're all surfin' losers.
Matt: I bet. (pause) So when you're back home in Laguna Beach what type of guys do you date?
Kristin: Anyone that catches my eye. The guys like me- you know- the spoiled rich kid. Usually it doesn't work out.
Matt: Do you thik if I lived in LB you'd date me?
Kristin: I know I would. I'd date you even if you didn't live in Laguna Beach. Matt, you don't have to be- you don't have to live in Laguna for me to be interested. I'm already interested and just be yourself. Don't change the way you are. I already think you're perfect.
Matt: You're so amazing....and I think you're perfect, too.

* With Greg and Lori *

Greg: Because I think you're perfect the way you are.
Lori: I think you're perfect.
The two teens started kissing when their best friends Kristin and Matt walked into the room. They immediately broke away, but Greg didn't let her go. He was still holding her in the tight, warm, loving embrace. Matt was staring at Kristin, who was watching Lori with Greg. He slipped his arm around Kristin's waist and brought her closer to him. Soon the two couples were making out.
