The Mini Rex is also known as the Velveteen Rabbit because of its very plush fur. To keep the fur's overall consistency, owners have to brush a Mini Rex's fur every day or often. The Mini Rex is a smaller version of the Rex rabbit, which can grow up to nine pounds. Mini Rexes are common in shows.
Mini Rexes have a calm, shy temperament, and although they enjoy hopping around and exploring, they'd be perfectly content with sitting in their master's lap and being pet. It was accepted by the ARBA in 1988.
(My sister owns a Mini Rex, and let me tell you, they're gorgeous rabbits!)
