Overview:
This is where we basically started to learn how to play our instruments. What was initially a Gosford high only band soon turned into a Morisset area band and the core of the soon to be Operation Lager was formed. We had lots of songs that were literally written in minutes and this showed but some classics were born in this "experimental" peroid that are still played. We basically only played punk songs, Alan didn't use a bass drum and we had 10 watt amps.

Overview:
We learnt a lot this year, playing our first party gig then later our first pub/club gig. There were numerous lineup changes and switchs, lead vocals changed from Matt(first 3 months) to Justin(for maybe a few minutes) to Greg(approx 3 months) to Ben. We made 3 recordings and an incredibly lame video with some uni students, 2 studio, 1 live. The first studio recording plus the live one were complete shite but the last demo we made was allright and helped us greatly over the next year. Allthough there were plenty of original songs written we still continued to play mainly village idiot songs from 98' but we improved them greatly so many of the new songs didn't make it into the set. Everyone improved hugely on their instrument, got some new equipment and we got a fair few gigs under our belt, before we were really ready for it.
