Confession Of Salvation From The Heart

Jesus said: "I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father but by me." (John 14:6)

Mark 16:15-16 (King James Version) "15And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned."

believe the greek word Pisteuo (pist-yoo'-o)
which means 1. to think to be true, to be persuaded of, to credit, place confidence in of the thing believed to credit, have confidence in a moral or religious reference used in the NT of the conviction and trust to which a man is impelled by a certain inner and higher prerogative and law of soul to trust in Jesus or God as able to aid either in obtaining or in doing something: saving faith 1bc) mere acknowledgment of some fact or event: intellectual faith
2. to entrust a thing to one, i.e. his fidelity to be entrusted with a thing

I believe Salvation is a gift made available to those who repent(change one's mind or direction; to have a change of heart and to decide to ask for forgiveness of your sins ), believe and confess(say out loud) their belief that Jesus is Lord and that He died and rose from the dead to save mankind (Acts 16:31; Romans 10:9-10). The gift cannot be earned by any thing you do interms of good deeds or by simply being a good person. "For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast." (Ephesians 2:8-9)It is a matter of faith.

Jesus offered God's forgiveness to hurting people (Mark 2:5; Luke 7:50). In its most basic sense, salvation is the saving of a life from death or harm. ~ salvation [ sal vysh'n ]~ noun ~
Definition:
1. act of saving from harm: the saving of somebody or something from harm, destruction, difficulty, or failure
2. means of saving somebody or something: somebody or something that protects or delivers another from harm, destruction, difficulty, or failure
3. christianity deliverance from sin through Jesus Christ: in the Christian religion, deliverance from sin or the consequences of sin through Jesus Christ's death on the cross

"For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;" (Romans 3:23)
"Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:" (Romans 5:12)
"For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation." (Romans 10:10)
"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved." (Romans 10:13)

"But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:" (John 1:12)
"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new." (2 Corinthians 5:17)
