Every night in my dreams,
I see you, I feel you,
That is how I know you go on.
Far across the distance
And spaces between us,
You have come to show you go on.
CHORUS
Near, far, wherever you are,
I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you open the door
And you're here in my heart and
My heart will go on and on.
Love can touch us one time
And last for a lifetime,
And never let go 'till we're gone.
Love was when I loved you,
One true time I hold to,
In my life we'll always go on.
CHORUS
Near, far, wherever you are,
I believe that the heart does go on.
Once more, you open the door
And you're here in my heart and
My heart will go on and on.
You're here, there's nothing I fear,
And I know that my heart will go on.
We'll stay forever this way,
You are safe in my heart and
My heart will go on and on.

There is a rather interesting story behind this famous song. James Cameron, the director of the movie Titanic, initially felt that a popular song would be inappropriate to his film. He intended to have only instrumental music played during the end credit sequence. However, composer James Horner felt otherwise and wrote a love song, based on his themes from the movie, with his friend Will Jennings laying down the lyrics. He then asked Celine Dion to record a demo tape of the song, which he could present to Cameron. Celine loved the song and agreed to do it. She sang it so well that in the end Cameron was convinced and chose to have "My Heart Will Go On" play over the end credits. It became a worldwide hit and eventually won an Oscar.
