Nancy's Diary

This is my page all about me, me, and me. Beware...Excessive me-ism throughout. Any die-hard altruists better leave right away. :)

Hooray! My computer's back from the shop so I can finally use it again. And what more worthy thing could I do with it than updating my web page a bit? So I did.
At least all the dead "flowers" are gone from my spirit page.
Couldn't be bothered with one of them online journals, so I just made my own. A little HTML editing can work wonders...
It will be good to get back in the Site Fights. So relieved now that school's finally over, but my university year will start soon, bringing with it more joys, sorrows, troubles, jubilances, and expensive Starbucks frappuchino. Well, changes comes in life and more often than not, they are good. I've heard this Bic Runga song that says: "Never be afraid of change". Well, I'm not afraid of change. It's twenty-dollar bills that scare the living daylights out of me.
Maybe sometime I'll write editorials, about everything in life I don't like and all that, but when you write something that people see it will live forever. I won't take the chance that something I write will hurt people - I know too well what it's like to be hurt by something someone wrote.
The extended version of The Two Towers on DVD is awesome. Mum and I spent a whole afternoon and night watching it. We were halfway through Disc No. 4 before she made me go to bed. :(
Darn, I hate going to bed. When I move out, I'm going to stay awake 24 hours a day. No reason to waste ten hours of good time lying down and doing nothing. :^

Watched more DVDs with commentaries that I didn't like. :)
Today Mum and I cleaned up the house. I helped by vaccuuming. It sucks. Vaccuuming cleaners are suckers. They were born suckers. And because our current house has more carpet than our old house, we got a bigger sucker than ever.
Gonna re-join the Site Fights today.

Here I am. This is me. There's nowhere in the world I'd rather be. Well, maybe with the exception of Disneyland. :D
Too lazy to write in dairy every day. I mean diary. English is such a confusing language.
I met an author a while ago, Ron Phillips. He wrote "Gem of the First Water". Argued with him on some of his ideas, but he was a really nice guy. Did some deep, serious looking at myself and realised it was my own ideas I didn't like, not his.
Well, I can't really disagree with someone who called me a really interesting, clever person. :)
Going to see my therapist, who works at the same place as aforementioned author, tomorrow. Then I'll argue with him some more. :D
I've recently got my University Entrance results back. How did I do? Well, let's just say I got into university and will be doing a degree in Computer Science. I wanted to study that course so I can make my website better than ever. Well...okay, that wasn't the only reason. My career choice and future were also important.
I'm back in the Site Fights. Posted 5 cheers today. Maybe one of them will win Loudest Cheer and I'll gain glory for the Eagles team...Okay, I admit, and for myself as well. Darn altruistic upbringing.
My friend went away from home yesterday. Went with her family to see her off. Lost to her brother at several games of pool. :) She's at least much better than she was last year...when she got seriously sick. I only hope the poor girl can learn to stand on her own two feet and feel better.
Thank you to anyone who cared enough to read this. I feel loved...(sobs) :)

Yay! My site has got to the Warzone! Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone who voted for me this week...:)
Have been too lazy to write in diary for a while, as usual. But am changing that today...I've even updated my website a bit! Added a parody of a Rodgers/Hammerstein classic to the library. I call it "My Favorite Links" and am quite proud of it. When I was a kid I watched The Sound of Music over and over again until I memorized everything.
Orientation at university begins about next week. Looking forward to that!
Already the first winter winds are blowing in. In NZ we get winter when America and England etc get summer. That's cool.
My counselor Angela told me not to talk to Ron Phillips anymore for a while and do "thought diaries" to get my cluttered mind sorted out. Maybe then my desk won't be cluttered any more. If a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, what's a beautiful desk the sign of? (Hint, hint...Russell Crowe and Jennifer Connelly and Ron Howard and a math genius...snicker)
Heard that composer James Horner has two new projects coming up: One of them is The Forgotten. Right after he did The Missing. Logically, his next movie will be The Found While Looking For Something Else! :) His interview on the Field of Dreams DVD always made me laugh...As his agent said: "James is composing himself out there". Composing himself...Ha ha.
Well, that's all for now, folks. Tune in next week, same time, same URL address!
