C H I C K E N    M E C H A D O

ingredients:

350 g chicken breast,
   cut into serving proportions
6 pieces medium onion, sliced
2 small potatoes, cut into chunks
1 small red bell pepper, cut into strips
1 foil pouch (200 g) DEL MONTE
  Classic Mechado-Caldereta Recipe Sauce

procedure:

Simmer chicken in 1/2 cup water for 10 minutes.
Add onion, potatoes and bell pepper. Simmer
for 10 minutes. Add Del Monte Sauce then simmer
for another 5 minutes.

F U D G Y   B O N B O N S

ingredients:

1 (12-oz) pkg. (2 cups) semi-sweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup butter or margarine
1 (14 oz) can condensed milk
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 cup finely chopped nuts
1 teaspoon vanilla
60 milk chocolate candy kisses
   or white & chocolate-
  striped candy kisses, unwrapped
2 oz. white naking bar or
   vanilla flavored candy coating
1 teaspoon shortening or oil.

procedure:

Preheat oven to 350 deg.F
In medium saucepan, combine chocolate chips and butter;
Cook & stir over very low heat until chips are melted & smooth
Add condensed milk.Mix well.

In medium bowl, combine flour, nuts, chocolate mixture and vanilla; Mix well.
Shape 1 tablespoonful (use measuring spoon) of dough around each candy kiss, covering completely.
Place 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheets.

Bake at 350 deg.F for 6 to 8 minutes. Cookies will be soft and appear shiny but become firm as they cool. DO NOT OVERBAKE
Remove from cookie sheets. Cool.

In small saucepan, combine white baking bar and shortening; cook and stir ove low heat until melted and smooth.
Drizzle over cookies. Store in tightly covered container.
