Ok, Ok- I know I said I would
write every nite for the next 2 weeks, yet there is no journal entry for
yesterday. Well that's because I spent about 4 hours finishing the links
section. It's done, yeah!!!! :) I figured since I spent 4 hours
here, I could forego the journal entry. Besides I was exhausted. But
the good news is I have kept my quit so far!! Two days, 12 hours, 32 minutes and 32 seconds. 75 cigarettes not smoked, saving $14.19. Life saved: 6 hours, 15 minutes.
I was lucky to find some really good sites though. One very good one I found is call "Another Empty Bottle" It is a great site if you are an alcoholic or a friend/family member of one. They have AA and Al-anon meetings online, a great community, chat rooms, discussion areas, a library and more. I have an alcoholic in my family (actually quite a few) and it has always been a big issue for me, and its something I never dealt with head-on. So now I can :)
I have developed a list of a few areas in my life that I need to work on:
1)Quitting Smoking
2)Alcoholism
3)Depression
4)Anger Management
5)Procrastination/Stress/Time Management
6)Being good to my body
Right now I am only actively working on the first two. And I am still stuck on the "first step" of both of them. One thing I have learned from my past is that I *can't* tackle everything at once. I need to take one thing at a time. Easier said than done *though*. This could take at least another millennium. *Sigh*
Here are some immediate goals I would like to accomplish:
1)Go to sleep early and at the same time every nite
2)Wake up at the same time everyday
3)Exercise at least a little every day
Well those are my top 3 anyway--there are a bunch more-but one at a time, right?? LOL if I say it enough times, maybe I will actually get it through my head.
On Aside note-- I have been noticing some stomach problems lately. I wonder if it has to do with my quit, or all those smoothies I have been drinking?
Ah well, it is almost 3:30 in the morning, guess I should get some sleep, eh?
Until Tomorrow
