The Resurrection
Matthew 28, Mark 16, Luke 24, John 20
After the sabbath, early in the morning on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to  visit the tomb of Jesus.
There was a great earthquake and an angel of the Lord appeared and rolled the stone away from the front of the tomb.
The angel was dressed in clothes as white as snow. The guards trembled with fear and they passed out.
The angel spoke to the women, saying: "Do not be afraid. Jesus is no longer here; he has risen. Go quickly and tell his disciples that he has gone to Galilee. You will see him there."
They ran from the tomb, nearly overcome with fear and joy. On their way to tell the apostles, Jesus appears to them. They bowed down and worshipped him, and he said: "Tell my brothers to go to Galilee. They shall see me there."
