| Lughnasadh also know as Lammas is the time of 1st harvest. Spring plants wither and drop the fruit or seeds, for our use as well as to ensure future crops. Mystically, the God begins losing his strength as the sun rises farther south & night grow longer. The God is dying, the Goddess watches in sorrow and joy as she knows he will live on inside her as her child. Lammas wasen't always observed on this day, it orginally went along with the first reapings. The Symbols of Lughnandh are Corn, Grains, Bread, Full Moon, & Wheat. The Colors are Red, Gold, Yellow, Green, Orange, & Citrine. The Animals are Roosters & Calves. The Stones are Yellow Diamond, Peridot, & Citrine. |
