| Beltane marks the time when the young God becomes a man. He desires the Goddess, they fall in love, lie among the flowers unite. The Goddess becomes with child from the God. Pagans celebrate the symbol of her fertility in ritual. Beltane (May Day) has long been marked with feasts & ritual. May Poles were the focal point of Old English village rituals, but is still widely used today. People rose at dawn to gather flowers and greenery to decorate the May Pole, thier home themselves. The May Pole symbolizes the God while the flowers greenery the Goddess. Beltane marks the return of passion hopes consummated. May Poles are sometimes still used by Pagans today during rituals, but the cauldron is a more common focal point. The Symbols for Beltane are Eggs, Flowers, Chalice, May Pole, Butter Chrun, May Baskets, Crossroads. The Colors are Red, Green, White, Dark Yellow. The Animals are Goats, Rabbits, Honey Bees.
