Tribute to my Mom and Dad
They met the day after her twelfth birthday at church. After enjoying County CYF and time with one another's parents they knew they belonged together. Neither dated anyone else and had planned to wait until she graduated high school.
He helped her do chores and watch her baby sister. They would play cards with his parents.
Then Granddad got transfered to Odessa, Texas and neither wanted to be parted. So in October 1954 they wed. He spent two years in the Army and she finished high school.
They lived and loved and had me, their only child and daughter. Even after she became ill he fought for her and cared for her. She died in October 2000 shortly after their Forty-sixth Wedding Anniversary. He misses her greatly and so do I.

                                                          Love,
                                                                 Cheryl
