Me and Mine

I've been asked, more than once, if my hubby knows I use the name, Ladymantis62. It doesn't bother him. Most everything doesn't bother him. I could set fire to his shirttail and he would just put it out and go on. He's a match for me. I bounce off the walls and ceilling and he anchors me to the floor.

How did Pooky and I get together? We met at the NAPA auto parts warehouse here in Tulsa, OK. I came in as a temp stocker and he was the forklift driver. They teamed us together as one of the teams to take inventory of the parts. Later, we would do receiving of parts as well as stocking and even pulling parts too.
Over the next year, we became a good team able to work together without having to discuss what went on the shelf next and what needed to be shifted to make room. They also learned not to pair us together for inventory because we had everyone else cracking up.
Then I went and tripped over a center median with a tire. I was off work for ten weeks. I had surgery to re-attach my Achille's tendon to my right heel. Pooky was beside his self. I had never given him my phone number and he never thought to ask the one gal at work who did have it. Poor guy, he thought I was gone for good. When I got back to work he had such a surprised, relieved look on his face. No wonder he proposed a month later.
I was upstairs, in a corner, putting up some little pipefittings when Allen came to me. He poked his face around the corner and quietly asked me to marry him. He later confessed he was expecting me to slap his face. My goodness!

When we told our supervisor we were going to get married, the grapevine got wind of it. ( We had two eavesdroppers when he proposed ) But instead of hearing, "You're going to do what?", we heard "It's about time you two made up your mind!".
  They knew all the time.
  We married
8-99. The warehouse closed 12-99.  Our little boy was born 11-00.

That was how two chubs got together.
