You and Me                     by Ramah Leon Combs
When needing strength to carry on
It's thoughts of you that fill my mind.
Thoughts of your caring and your tenderness
From a warm heart that is so kind.

It was you that came to comfort me
When my road of life got rough
And for your kindness and understanding
A simple thank you is not enough.

If I could only find words to convince you
That my feelings for you now know no end
Or a way to share with you my hopes and dreams
That someday we can be far more than friends.

But, as for now, I can only wait and pray
And dream each night of you
And pray that God will help you know
That the words I speak are true.

But for now I'm forced to be content
With memories of how 'we' use to be
And with happy thoughts of the days to come
That may once again belong to "you and me."

These two scribbles (My Morning Sky and You and Me) were written for and about Teresa 'Baker' Muncy as a tribute to her for her kindness and understanding during my darkest days of life.

Teresa was my grade school and high school sweetheart that still remembered me and the times we shared together all those years ago, and came to stand beside me and comfort me during my times of trouble and need as only a very special friend will do.  These scribbles are my way of trying to explain in words just how much her loving way, her kindness and most of all her faithful friendship has been appreciated and has lightened my burden of life.  Although words can never explain true feelings, I hope they are a start and pray the day will soon come that I can try to repay her for her love, kindness, and thoughtfulness she shared with me in person.  She is a very special lady.  A lady with rare qualities seldom found in this world today.

I love you, my morning sky.
