Role-playing/Online Fiction Writing Terms:
The following was compiled based on the many questions that I've been getting from fellow Yahoo! chat role-players on my preferences when it comes to executing the storyline and based on my own experiences with the need to keep the storyline going at a fair pace.  Additional information may be added or existing information may be edited as the need arises, so by no means is this a final document.  However, the following does stand and if you, the role-player, cannot abide by these terms, your participation in the role-play/storyline is subject to cancellation/closure depending on how far along your character is in the story.
1.  I am available to role-play Friday and Saturday evenings 9 p.m.-12 a.m. PST.  My role-players can also have set role-play schedules and will be posting them here.

2.  Anyone is welcome to role-play.  I have no preference for character types.  Usually, any role-playing character type is welcomed as long as they make sense to the storyline.  If you find yourself wanting ideas to create a character, I can only provide you with what is on the character pages.  It is not my job to make up characters for people who wish to participate in the storyline.  However, I do encourage potential participants to brainstorm their own character ideas and present them to me before executing them in the storyline; for this, I can be reached via PM, online or offline, on Yahoo! I.D. auburn_clairvoyance or e-mail [email protected]

3.  Any role-player/writer who has had to deal with multiple players/co-writers at any one time during their role-playing/serial-story-building careers has had to deal with this:  You find that suddenly one of your participants/co-writers becomes absent from the role-play/storyline from one role-play session to the next without concluding their character's presence within the storyline and that person's character is afterwards inactive for a long period of time.  I'd like to prevent this from happening because when one role-play character is absent from the role-play sessions, it can throw the whole storyline off.  If you're an active participant and you believe you will be absent from any one role-play session, you must give me warning at least three days in advance of next session by PM or e-mail so that we can work something out.  If your character is an integral part of the storyline at the time you become absent from the role-play (in other words, if the storyline cannot go on until you are able to participate in the story again) then I will halt the role-play sessions for a specified amount of time to accomodate for your absence depending on how often we do these sessions and whether or not we can find a way around the absence.
