OBJECTIVE: This page/site aims at describing more in detail the character of Emily Moyra Byrne. Emily is a role-play character, a work of fiction, and as such should not be confused with the person that role-plays her. As her storyline progresses, I will be adding more to this page/site. The following introduction explains Emily's being and motivation...
Emily Moyra Byrne, daughter of Cecilia Geish-Byrne (deceased) and Frederick Byrne, was born in Boston, Massachusetts on April 1. As is currently known, she is the only child (legitimate or otherwise) of this couple. Emily hails from an upper-middle class upbringing, having completed private school in her hometown of Boston and a Bachelor's degree in psychology from Harvard University. At the age of 10, Emily had her first clairvoyant episode: while on a camping trip in the woods with her father, she "saw" what appeared to be twin black furry wolf-like bipeds tearing and growling at something she could not see (her vision was limited to her point of view which consisted of her "looking up" at the creatures as their claws were flying all over her). When she came out of her episode, Emily cried knowing something terrible had happened to her mother and empathic to her mother's last moments alive. In her grief, Emily shared this revelation with her father who initially scolded the girl for lack of respect while assuring her that her mother was alright. It was later discovered by authorities, that the bodies of Mrs. Byrne and her ex-husband Mr. Robert Geish were torn apart beyond recognition in Mr. Geish's Boston home. In the carnage, only one survivor was found: Emily's half-sister Victoria Elaine Geish, who was later put into a mental institution for expressing "erratic" behavior and boistering about "werewolves". After these incidents, Emily tried to dismiss the absurd notion that she could see what others could not; however, through support by one of her school's tutors and mentors, she more and more began to inform herself on the subjects of Psychometry, Clairvoyance, Clairsentience, Precognition, and Retrocognition. Fueled by the injustice of her mother's murder and the inability of the authorities to find those responsible, Emily became interested in pursuing a career within the law enforcement arena, specializing in paranormal/unexplained phenomena.
