From - The Ladies of Irons

Spoilers regarding Season two's first two episodes (premier) are contained here in.  If you have not viewed these episodes, consider yourself warned.

We are appalled and greatly saddened by the recent demise of our Sinister and Majestic Master: Kenneth Irons.  He is a fundamental and worthy antagonist. A figure in which we can respect, fear, desire. A figure some of us love to hate and some of us love to love. With wickedness and cunning, yet a hint of tragedy, he delivers us from common and dull villainy.

Irons conveys a fusion of mystery, sensuality, intellect, elegance and
titillation. These things are wrapped into an efficiently plotted and
intensely emotional package.

Irons is the darkness.  Irons is the link.

Sara, in all of her passion, goodness and strength deserves a revered
opposite.  Ordinary villains of the week are an insult to her capabilities.  Sara is the light.  Sara is the cleansing.

Ian, with his anguish and stealth, brings a complementary balance between the light and dark powers of the blade. He is the crux of the virtuous and malevolence, of Irons and Sara.

Sara, Irons and Ian form a prevailing trinity. They are all linked, this does not disturb us.

Without Darkness there is no Light.  Without Evil there is no Good.

In the Witchblade world there is greater malevolence and insanity for Sara to contend with.  Last season was astonishing because of the deeply interwoven connection between Sara, Irons and Ian.  That needs to remain the driving force of the show.

Today is a day for action.  Today is the day to project our Will and Desire to The Powers that Be.

We do not want a story, about a cop, with a sword coming out of her arm.  We do not want our combined intellect ignored or mocked.

Today we shall take up arms, through a collective voice.  Letting TPtB know what we cherish so much within the story of the Witchblade.  Let them be aware of how much we value the character interactions and relationships of the first season.  Let them know to what extent we crave the creativity of the cast and crew.

It seems TPtB are trying to stifle the imaginative styles of the cast and crew.   They want to deliver "stand alone" episodes of BtVS meets NYPD Blues. They wish to muck up and take away the more linked and complex themes of the show.

All of the characters are important.  In no way, do we wish, to take anything way from what the show gave us last season.  Yet, at this critical time, it is important to act as a group.  To put aside any pettiness or resentments and in one glorious statement let them know how vital it is for the idea's, feeling and opinions of the cast, crew and fans to be respected and empowered.

They deserve our admiration and gratitude.  For this effort of action to be recognized we must express to TNT, WB and all PTB how we feel.

Ralph Hemecker, Anthony Cistaro, Eric Etebari, Yancy Butler, and all the cast and crew members put a great deal of energy and planning into their work. They are brilliant and committed.  They care about our opinions and delivering a creatively intricate plot.  From a raised eyebrow of Sara's, to the forlorn gaze of Ian, to a slight vocal intonation from Irons, the effort is obvious.  A well placed prop or timely line delivered with consideration and diligence.

I want to help support creative freedom and intellectual interaction.
