Spoilers regarding Season two are contained here in. Consider yourself warned.
From the information we have gathered at the Gauntlet convention.
They re-wrote the episode in order to kill off our Mr. Irons simply because TNT/PTB think he is "just a guy". They said to "ax" him. They want a cop show. "They said make it more like Buffy." They want it about Sara and Jake.
There also seemed to be worried about the direction of Ian. This is because of the new direction TNT wants to take the show.
AC said he filmed a "few things", but Irons is very much dead.
The letters really do help. AC wanted us to get people to write. To do what we could to let them know we want the same deep and interesting show we had last season. It seemed to us it would make a difference. AC was very much on the same lines as we are about Irons- wicked/sinister but not vile nasty like episode #2.
We spoke with AC about how it was so beneath Irons to do those thing and so forth. Not our Kenneth- he was taken over by the spear. He then gave himself over to the blade almost like he knew he was possessed or as if it was the only way to go beyond to ascend.
The writers are leaving it as open as possible so they can bring him back but WE have to let TNT know that's what we want.
Also there was a rumor about an Irons/Elizabeth episode- now its a no go because well... Irons is just a guy and no one wants that sort of show- they want Jake and Sara chasing bad guys.
TNT will continue with this line if WE do not stop them. Please write to TNT.
