Big and Important Things
This could well be titled "The Page I Never Thought I'd Need." Then again, they could all be called that.

I apparently forgot that there was a news page that required updating on occasion. Belated congratulations to Robin, winner of the contest mentioned below. Ella has sent more art. And oh yeah, Volume V is finally done!

Hey, look, I finally posted the next chapter. Also, I'm running a contest! You can take control of my little storyverse, for just one day -- check it out!

I know many of you have been waiting with varying degrees of patience for an update to volume V, and I apologize for the delay. As some of you have heard, my grandmother passed away last month, and my muses kind of took a walk as a result. She died right before Easter, which is already the worst time of year for me -- I'm a church secretary, and Holy Week just dismantled what was left of my sanity -- and life has been exceedingly hectic ever since. So the last two months have been extremely draining, and I'm very sorry that it's cut into my writing time and energy. I really appreciate your loyalty, and I hope to have something with which to reward it before much longer!

Hasn't been much news in a while, I know. But for reasons passing my personal understanding, there is now a Lady Norbert fanlisting. I'm beyond flattered to the point of near tears.

Pardon me while I attempt to resume breathing. I've just received a message from prolific romance novelist Gail Dayton. Gail, like me, is a member of the message board at Tony Curran Online, and thanks to a discussion there about fanfics which feature Skinner, she heard of TPDoEQ and decided to give it a read-through. This was her response:
Okay, Norbert, why are you writing fan fiction? Your stuff is Good. (I love your dialogue--especially Skinner's cute lines.) Yeah, there's not too much market for things written in Victorian diarist style--but there could be. It's sort of historical chick lit...Yeah, it's hard to make the switch from fan to original, but you've got the skills. You ought to make the leap. It is possible.
She also left a review on the first story in the series. To say that I'm stunned and speechless would be a mild understatement. Thank you, Gail, for your kind words!
