Everytime You Walk Out The Door
Melissa Miller

Everytime you walk out the door,
My heart breaks a little more.
I hate not being able to hear your voice,
But I know it's not like we have a choice.
It's just hard when you're everywher but here,
I miss you so much, I wish you were near.
I miss you in bed and your soft caress,
I miss your touch as I lie on your chest.
I can't help but feeling so very alone,
And through it all I hope my love has shown.
When you asked me to be your wife,
I said yes and that commitment is for life.
I didn't know it was going to be like this,
Alot of important things in my life you've missed.
Whether you were on deployment or in some sort of training,
I want you to know it's not you I'm blaming.
We've been apart more than we've been together,
But all the strongest storms we've weathered.
I think about you everyday and you're always in my heart,
No matter what the distance between us we're never far apart.
So as you fall asleep tonight,
Know that I will be all right.
You are my lover and my best friend,
So with this poem all my love I do send.
