In Memoriam

A/N: The challenge was to write a 100-word drabble concerning Snape and a 25th anniversary. There had been quite a bit of talk in the fandom about cemeteries...

Disclaimer: Harry Potter, Severus Snape, and all their associates are characters belonging to J.K. Rowling. I claim no rights to them, their surroundings, or their situations. Much to my sorrow.

"What are you doing here?" Of all the times to run into his least favorite person, it would be here, today, Harry thought sourly. Small consolation that Snape looked as disgruntled at their unexpected meeting as he felt.

"It's a sizeable cemetery, Potter. You don't honestly think you're the only person who might have business here?" The surly Potions Master brushed past him, sweeping out of sight in fine billowy dungeon-bat style.

Later, Harry thought it best not to ask about the enormous spray of lilies he found draped across his mother's grave, wrapped in green and silver tissue.
