.:The Story:. "Nana" is the story of two women who share the same name. Two women who are different and the same all at the same time. One is sour and the other is sweet. Even though they come from completely different backgrounds, they both shared the dream of moving to Tokyo and getting their own lives. In Tokyo, they somehow meet and become best friends. It was destiny that they met because they work so well together! The world of Nana is full of music, fashion, parties, and relationships. The Nana manga was created by Yazawa Ai. .:Characters:. 
Nana Osaki (aka Nana)
Nana One of the titular characters of the series. She is the singer for her band, Black Stones (Blast for short). Nana my look like a tough punk, but she has a kind heart and is a good friend. She was abandoned by her mother and raised by her grandmother. Despite all of the hardships in her life, she still holds strong to her dream of becoming a successful vocalist and dosen't want to live in the shadows of others. 
Nana Komatsu (aka Hatchi)
The other Nana in the series. Unlike Nana, Hatchi came from a happy family and is quite childish. She also falls in and out of love very easily. Nana came up with the nickname "Hachi" for her. It is the shortened form of Hachiko. She got this name because she always tries to be kind and faithful to her friends, like the dog from the Hachiko legend (a legend of a dog named Hatchiko who was faithful to its master right to its death).
