Letters to the editor

This afternoon is the final performance of 'Tommy'
Another triumph for Theatre A La Carte! Its current production of "The Who's Tommy" is simply amazing. I'll admit I had my doubts. Community theater doing the classic rock opera in Tallahassee? But Theatre A La Carte pulled it off with panache. This show doesn't miss a beat.

Congratulations of the highest order are due producer and director Eric Hurst (for having the chutzpah in the first place), musical director Sarah Hess, choreographer Michele Ackermann and the lighting and sound crew, whose expertise and imagination helped raise this little theater production to great artistic heights. In addition to the gifted acting and vocal talents Tallahassee can always expect from Theatre A La Carte, we saw a treat not often available in community theater: a whole flock of talented male dancers.

Today's 2 p.m. performance will be the final show. Cancel all plans, break all engagements; see this show!
