The
Confederacy
The Confederacy As any one will tell u I am deeply into the history of the South. I was born in Georgia and though I now live in the North I am still tied to the history and culture of the South.

If you ask any northerner the Civil War was fought over slavery. In fact it was fought over the southern states not wanting to be oppressed by northerners and there taxes.  It also should not be a civil war but a just a war, to regain the Union; the Southern states had broken from the Union and became The Confederacy, they were not part of the United States.

The North a center of industrial revolution, it was also the non-slave territories.  They, northerners were those who covered their tracks by saying it was to abolish slavery when in fact they were those that had the most profit from the labor slaves performed.  The president upheld the Norths win to the South. Lincoln assisted the North by allowing Soldiers and army segments such as Sherman and his troops to go into the South and destroy the civilization that had been established.  The North was also more industrial, giving them a better economy and resources; their navy was much more equip and was able to capture the ports of the South.

The South a center for agriculture, the only industry the South Obtained was that in Atlanta, however three years into the war it was destroyed by Shermans troops. Railroads were taken apart the south was burned. In fact when you fly over the South you can see the discoloration from the burning.  Unlike the North the South was the main producer for the U.S. however their profits were collected by the North, the south was the underling riches of the countrys economy.

The real reason for the Northern win was that Shermans Mach was that of total destruction inhuman and allowed by Lincoln. Lincoln allowed for the burning and killing of the South so that he may reunite the country that was in the eyes of the South not a country anymore.
The  Confeterate flag is not a symbol of hate but that of  a segment of a nation and there longing and fight to separate from a union in which they were being used.
