SUBCOMMITTEE REPORTS:

  1. Public Safety and Infrastructure-James Joyal and Richard Heinis presented an addendum to the December report to City Council. . (See addendum)  They felt that the Government Operations Committee should have these facts in addition to the original report.  Mr. Heinis made a motion that the addendum be presented from the entire Motorcycle Week Committee.  Mr. Joyal seconded the motion.  The motion was defeated 3-2 .  Mr. Joyal may present this information to the committee as a private citizen.

6.      Vendors, Exhibitors, and Non-local Businesses-Sharon Fleischman has been making contact and is waiting for return telephone calls. She will report on them next meeting.  She stated that she has spoken to several local businessmen. A suggestion she received is that motorcycles should be charged a fee to attend

Bike Week.  It could be in the form of a pass that would be attached to the motorcycle and would be good for the entire week.  It could be sold by civic

groups and the fee from the sale would be shared by the city and these groups.

Several Motorcycle Week Committee members felt that this would be difficult

to do, but it would bring in a lot of money.

No old business.

PUBLIC COMMENTS:
