Side note most of those nicknames are given to all the children of spirit and does mean they are insane or evil. Though if you meet her and hit on Scimitars you WILL die.
Physicall description: Ailey is short around 5 feet tall. She has raven curls cut short kinda resembles a bird's nest. It grows longer in the story as she finally lets it grow long. She has eerie amber yellowish eyes. Those eyes glow andd actually throw off sparks of spirit energy when she's mad. By the way her spirit enegery shows up as being purple. ^_^ *cough*she's flat chested*cough* She looks to be of cafe au late skin coloring. When she's disguised as a boy she looks to be around 14, maybe just having hit puberty. Cosmetics can do anything! In realty she's actually only 19.
Her outfit is rather difficult to describe. It basically is black tights, short boots and well....the rest is odd. Her top has the shoulders cut out and is baby blue. She wear dragon armor over it. This is made from dragon scales given to her by the dragons. It basically looks like a one piece bathing suit. The colors in it range from pink to blue but is mostly purple.
Personality: She's spent most of her life disguising herself as a boy just on the verge of hitting puberty. She did this mostly because...well bad things happen to people in general in this world if they show any weakness. Being female is considered a weakness as the men there are still living in the medieval age thinking women can't take care of themselves. She thinks it�s better not to tempt fate.
She's completely a freespirit. She's a little silly and wild. She still has that innocence and love of life that no one can wipe out of her. She tends to make people smile around her, and make them forget their worries. People see her as being eccentric, childish, flirtatious. They think she has odd beliefs and that she's non conforming. She does what others are afraid to do or even try. She's somewhat melodramatic and a smart ass. She's comes off as being reckless, fun-loving, bold, creative, determined, and brassy.
She's gone through years were food is hard to come by. If you leave her alone with some food she'll almost always pocket some "in case". it's not that she's a gluttton. She's just terrified she'll almost starve to death like what happened once a long time ago. She's still a little girl at heart and has a small stuffed animal collection consisting of two stuffed animals. One of which is a small teddy bear she named Franklin. The other one scimitar ends up giving her and I'm not telling! :op
Things aren't always as they seem though. She is the "child of spirit". Everyone has been raised to hate the child of spirit and the other 5 mystics along with the goddess she serves. She's had to keep a major portion of who and what she is secret for years now. She's learned not to be open and honest with people. She's learned to manipulate them without seeming to and keep problems to herself. Not to mention she's learned to fear and distrust everyone. Most people would find that distasteful, but it�s the only way she could survive under the circumstances.
So far everyone in her life has betrayed her. Her father took her to her goddess, Pegasus, for 'training' at the tender age of five. Training might as well be known as torture. Her father did it for all the right reasons, out of love and thinking this would prepare her for the horrors awaiting her. He was right in some ways but very wrong in others. She has no love for her goddess but serves her out of duty more than anything. Well that, and no other god would touch her with a fifty foot pole. Her best friend, Tom (Tommy's twin brother. No don't ask why they have the sane name) betrayed her by falling in love with Pegasus. Her foster family that she was sent to stay with and heal, eventually sent her back to the real world away from their protected valley because she was too much of a liability for them. Basically it just goes on and on like that. Is it any wonder she has problems trusting these new friends she finds herself with?
Well here�s basically what�s been happening with her life. She was raised by her father, Random, until age 5. Her mother, Luna, is a COMPLETE mental case. Basically her father is still completely in love with her. He spends most of his time taking care of his wife. Luna�s too insane to be left loose and is constantly kept tied up. For five long years Ailey put up with the torment of �training� to be a mystic. At age 10 she ran away. She somehow met up with Tom, Tommy�s twin brother(not explaining why they have the same name here). He helped her get straightened out and taught her how to survive on her own. This went on for around 3 years. One night she was seen by someone who recognized her features as very much being similar to the original child of spirit. Okay so they�re exactly the same! She was thrown in a �camp� for 2 years of her life. She barely escaped with her life. The camps were pretty hard to get through, not very many people made it out alive. That she managed to escape is a miracle in itself. She wasn�t able to bring anyone with her though. For that she�s eternally guilt stricken. Shortly after her escape a law was passed dissolving the camps. They (fairies) claimed that there was no need to fear the mystic menace. By then she was 15 and fairly upset with the way life had been going. She went from group to group of Wanderers. (Wanderers are like gypsies but they�re considered relatives to mystics. They aren�t but oh well. I�ll explain it better somewhere else) She left the Wanderers after a while and traveled on her own. No one knows where she went or who she was with at this point. She suddenly showed up a year ago back into Tom�s life. They have since been working to somehow stop people from blaming and trying to kill mystics for every reason under the sun.
She doesn't really even think about love until she gets to know Scimitar and then BAAM, she's trying to catch him. He of course wants nothing to do with it. He doesn�t understand that it�s his fault for being the way he is. He does the one thing that no one, including her twin sister, manages to do, he gains her complete trust.
Ailey is my most complex character or at least I think. She�s always putting up a mask of being incredible happy. Once you get to know her you realize how alone she is. Part of it is her own fault. She won�t open up. She�s afraid to. She keeps everyone close to her through everything, but never lets anyone in. Once Scimitar gains her trust, she tries to explain everything to him. But he�s too closed when it comes to his emotions to listen. ARGH!
She�s a master of survival, but she knows time is running out. She has bad nightmares. They�re getting worse. In each dream she sees that something is going to destroy everything she cares about. Some days she can feel it in her very bones. Fate is stalking her and she knows it. With death haunting her nightmares she clings every harder to life, and the dream that she can one day have a normal life.
And this bio doesn�t even begin to shed light on Ailey�s true character.
Weapons: Her weapons are her mystic powers. These are basically manipulating spirit energy. Usually the power comes out of Ailey in electrical pulses. So basically it would be like her controlling rare energy. She also has a few other power in there but I want to keep some of it secret. Her other weapons are her throwing daggers, a knife she has hidden in her gauntlet, and a small ball and chain she has hidden in her other gauntlet. She's also good with any projectile weapons. mainly she relies on her speed and on her acrobatic moves to get her out of jams.
