This is a rough sketch of Ailey in a dress. The commission was for the characters as sorta half animals like nekos but with other animals. The two animals Ailey most looks and act like are a pegasus or dragon. I thought a pegasus would be impossible to do. So I asked Kat if it was possible. She said she would try something. While the dragon dress was absolutely stunning (i'll be commissioning her for a picture of it later)
I thought I would mention here why I thought Ailey should most be a Pegasus. Well basically she's been chased by the dragon godess all her life. Ironic that none of the dragons want anythingto do with Kerelden the dragon goddess but adore Ailey (their sworn enemy) to death. Also Ailey's goddess, the one forced on her, is the Pegasus. While she does not agree with Pegasus most of the time, they have very similar characters. Along with that she does near the end of the novel embrace her fate. Plus overall she is always loyal to those she cares for and she does care for Pegasus in her own way.
The one thing I was worried about was that Ailey would look more like an angel then a Pegasus. As you can see she looks very Pegasus like. I must admit in this picture she has an innocence fratility that is very appealing to me. Plus it matches her character (the part she tries to hide from everyone) the most. |
