La Citadelle

We have converted the Owl Barn for our own use in summer. The farm house (out of the photo some way to the right) has rather a lot of rooms for just the two of us, unless we have friends or family staying. This barn is not exactly smaller, but has fewer rooms. The great feature, apart from the oak beams, is the huge veranda with two pairs of arch-topped french windows leading from the interior - very suitable for every day living in this climate. The veranda looks straight down across the woods to the west, and the sunset.
