La Citadelle

The big barn is extraordinary. It is of medieval construction, with outer stone walls more than a metre thick. The inner walls are half timbered, with the original wattle and daub. The front end, at the top, contains a three room farm house, the centre has an enormous carriage hall, while the far side has several animal shelters, including a 50 foot run of cow stalls. Renovation of this building would take more money than we have, so we only use it as storage.
