Introduction Lachdanan View of Alleria Creator's Note on Lachdanan |
So, why "Lachdanan"? Wh
I named this character after an NPC in Diablo I named Lachdanan. Those of who don't know who this original Lachdanan is, here's a brief description. Lachdanan was once the captain of King Leoric's army known as the Holy Knight of WestMarch. He was a honourable and just man. He serves King Leoric devotedly without any questions for many years. When King Leoric suffers from extreme insanity due to the disappearance of his beloved son, Prince Albrecht, the King attacked ordered Lachdanan to lead the army to attack Leoric's brothers and other kingdoms. Lachdanan remained true in his faith to the King. What is worse happened as King Leoric starts to blame and execute the citizens for the disappearance of his son. With King Leoric's death, Lachdanan was succumbed to the dead King Leoric. The warrior tried to find ways to escape from the curse. However, no matter how hard he tried, he failed. His power depletes and the last of his humanity is left within him... He wishes for a merciful death, such that his tormented soul could be free. Finally, his wish was granted as a nameless warrior reached the burning hell. The warrior fought alone fearlessly against the knights of hell that were led by Lachdanan himself. Eventually, Lachdanan is killed and his spirit is released from the curse of his king and the grasp of Diablo.
I've always admired those qualities of Lachdanan from Diablo since the moment I read his story. Also, the pronunciation of the name itself already sounds cool, this is why I chose this name. However, for some reason, I never intended to follow let my Lachdanan to following Diablo's Lachdanan's path. Lachdanan (Alleria) and I have many things in common. I am basically my own self into the character of Lachdanan, while adding and deleting some of the components that would possibly become the improve version of myself, including being a nerd (scholar), being a mage and so on. Of course, I never cared much about the physical part, as I am quite happy (small, but very healthy... heh heh). Anyway, I never intended to make Lachdanan famous, that is why I've never intended to stay in one place and deal with other people. However, as Lachdanan's skills improved, there are more characters who start to realize Lachdanan's power and thus seek for his help. This is truly a giant step for Lachdanan as he always longed for a quiet life. In real life, although the kind of power that I possess is unlike Lachdanan's magical power, I have also made a giant step in my life in a short time (being the editor-in-chief of the student newspaper). Now, like Lachdanan, I also long for a quiet life so that I can quickly graduate from university and get on with my life. I have never intended to make Lachdanan to become the perfect man in Alleria. Possessing a few bad characteristics would prove to be interesting for Lachdanan, including the spells that I've allowed Lachdanan to cast, of course. Of these bad things, they include the talk-less-do-more characteristic, keep everything to himself, too persistent in something, a loner, and so on. However, I've also tried to portrait him as a person who uses logic to do things while in real life, I go with my own feelings. Of course, Lachdanan does improve over time. Soon, those of who know Lachdanan for a long time, you'll see that he has changed a lot. Although, at the beginning, Lachdanan is a person who I wanted to be, as time goes on and my role-playing experience increases, I just pretend that I am actually him whenever I role-play him. Now, I don't even think that I'll act like Lachdanan in real life... *smile* I'll end off here for now, since I can't remember what I wish to say, but of course, do keep yourself updated, because Lachdanan will be improving himself as time pass by. See you later. Cheers,
