Ramblin' |
I guess some motorcycle riders, me being in that number, regard their machine as an entity that must be given attention. I heard mine calling again for some quality time and I answered, "Yes, coming dear". I first intended on just taking a "blinders on" ride but then decided to take the cameras just in case "sqeezing the rock" yielded interesting "water". As usual, the rock gave it up, one more time. I found myself in Sunset.... |
.......looking at an old full service filling station and restaurant. Remember, Sunset use to be on US 167, an important road in the birth of the oil industry. I didn't realize it as I finished putting up the pictues, but old filling stations caught my lens again and again on this one. I guess it's their turn. I'd been past this building a million times and never seen it.The rock dripped. Here US167's number has been changed to La.182, like US90 further south. |
Here is the picture of the Historical Marker at Bayou Bourdeaux. Somehow I keep losing the ones I had and finally took another one. Notice, someone or some group is doing her right with the flag. I salute you. |
This is out La 178 after I turned off 182. I've been wanting a picture of that little building forever. Notice the pointed covers on the stacks. Lighting rods? Different, whatever? |
Its sister shack down the road had hers blown off so they had to be replaced.* |
I knew 178 would take me into Church Point and I wasn't ready for a big town like Church Point. So I turned onto CTK. Don't know why? Guess I wasn't ready for a big town like Church Point. |
It has an electric meter base on it, look right (>>, Frank) |
Here's the neighborhood store. |
And then. |
It was also a large school or convent. If you know, write me please, the address is on the home page. |
I waved back figuring this one might be a good one. The rock dripped. |
