After crossing back into Mississippi, I watched for roads exiting straight and now boring US 90. I wanted to see water. There was plenty waiting at the end of Lakeshore Rd., and  one very pretty beach.
I went down to the right and the beach road, South Beach Blvd, dead-ended. I went back east and on it and passed Buccaneer State Park. Then I started seeing stuff you miss in a car or you can't stop because parking is non-existant. I can.
Obviously the owners of the home have ties with the neighboring states of LA and MS. Nice display. Great breeze.
Very interesting stuff along here.
Who needs Florida?  The "Gulf" atmosphere is strong along the MS coast.
I had finished the recon and it was getting to be about 5p.m.  I didn't want my handlers to worry, so I headed home. I hit it perfectly. I exited the beach road onto Nicholson which ran into 607 which ran into MS 43 which took me to Picayune where I would head south on I-59 until I saw the exit to Pearl River, La. and my road back.
On the way  I saw a sign to a park. Had to investigate. McLeod Water Park is on the shore of the Jordon River above I-10. (Kiln, MS) It has classic MS river scenery. It is a great place to camp, RV to tenting.
    Don't miss the
Stennis NASA facility , MS 607. It is where the rocket engines are tested. Tours are free.
