*******Boots of the Moment/Recommended******
AKA my favourite boots :)
There was a little discussion a while ago on the tori-boot mailing list about which boots should be recommended to newbies. There is no educated way to pick boots. You may find some boots have songs that you really like, when I started out I picked boots that had dates that were special to me (e.g. Dew Drop Inn Boulder - 11th November is my birthday [you can send me a present if you wish!]). If you're lucky enough to go to many Tori shows, you can pick the shows you went to see. (I myself have been to two shows, have one of them on disc, and am waiting for the other to emerge). Ahem. Anyway, here are some of my personal favourites:
Cleveland, OH 26/11/02 (woj) - clear sound, little crowd noise
Minneapolis, MN 30/11/02 (woj) - same as above
Frankfurt, Germany 5/02/03 (marmota) - practically no crowd noise. I love that version of Crucify! Desparado! The quality!
West Palm Beach, FL 28/9/01 - great set list, nice quality
Glasgow, Scotland 05/12/01 - The Fields of Scotland- so you can hear me clapping like an idiot before Leather ;)
Manchester, Engerland 06/12/01 - as recommended by christoff. Nice solo piano version of Caught a Lite Sneeze
Camden, NJ 27/08/99 - first time she played my favourite, Concertina :)
Buffalo, NY 3/09/99 - Give her five fucking seconds! ;)
Las Vegas, PPV 24/9/99 - available as a VCD too
London, Engerland 29/10/99 (Paul!) - So High. Solo - A must-have. Quite possibly the best version of Juarez you'll ever hear
Pinkpop 98 - Very clear, good interesting interviews
Frankfurt, Germany 23/6/98 - Night at the Opera. Great quality
Columbus, OH 29/11/98 - as recommended by tylendel. Has the famous Juarez intro to Siren
New Haven, CT 11/5/96 - great quality
Boulder, CO 11/11/96 - Dew Drop Inn Boulder. This boot is famous, quite rightly so. Good variation of songs
Seattle, WA 20/3/94 - Rhapsody in Pink - full of good songs, and reasonably good quality
Boulder, CO 29/09/92 - Winter, White Horses, and disc 2 of Tori Stories - Good quality
Toronto, Canada 28/10/92 - L'Affaire d'Amoreuse - radio broadcast, so good quality
Y Kant Tori Read (for the Big Hair) - 80's music and Tori!!!
Who the photon made up these names?!?! :D
NB: There are many other great quality shows out there. These are just a few of my favourites. :)
