A Spell for Chameleon This book is the first in the Xanth series, entailing the adventures of Bink as he tries to discover his magical talent. Unfortunately, if he cannot find his talent, which he is sure exists, he will be exiled from Xanth.
The Source of Magic In this Xanth novel, King Trent sends Bink on a quest to find the source of Xanth's magic. Bink travels with Chester, the centaur, and Crombie, the Griffin. He is unprepared when he is betrayed, but he still accomplishes his task. However, Bink does something Trent certainly didn't expect!
Castle Roogna Dor, Bink's son, meets a woman named Millie who has spent the last 800 years as a ghost. Now, restored to full life, she wants her zombie love, Jonathan, made live, too. Dor goes back in time to retrieve a potion to restore Jonathan, and meets Millie in that time. The only different thing is that he is currently inside the body of a full-grown barbarian.
Centaur Aisle This book features Dor, as he goes to Mundania to rescue King Trent. He travels with a golem, a centaur, an ogre, and Irene, the queen's precocious daughter.
Ogre, Ogre Smash Ogre is different from most ogres. He can talk intelligently. He is not eating any of the seven girls who are with him. So, he heads to Magician Humfrey's for an answer to a question he hasn't quite thought of yet.
Night Mare This book chronicles Mare Imbri, a former night mare, as she is exiled into Xanth. She aquires a partial soul, and cannot deliver bad dreams very well once she does. As such, the Night Stallion sends her to the day world to tell King Trent this message: "Beware the horseman." Other things are happening in Xanth, as barbarians invade from the north. It becomes up to Mare Imbri to save Xanth and break the chain of kings.
Dragon on a Pedestal The Gap Dragon has escaped from the Gap Chasm. Also, the forget-spell that had covered the Chasm is now broken up, making people in all places suddenly forget things. As if that's not enough, young Princess Ivy has gotten lost, and is heading straight for the dragon.
Crewel Lye: A Caustic Yarn In this book, Jordan, a ghost who used to be a knight, tells the story of how two wizards and his love betrayed him to his death. He'll really like it if someone finds his bones, for then he can come back to life!
Golem in the Gears Grundy is a golem, an animated creature fashioned from wood, clay, rags, and other things. He decides to go on a quest to find Princess Ivy's pet dragon. He reaches the tower, and discovers that the beautiful Rapunzel is held captive there by the Sea Hag. They escape, but the Sea Hag is pursuing them, and Grundy hasn't even found Ivy's dragon.
Vale of the Vole This book features Esk, a young ogre-nymph-human, visiting the Good Magician for help ridding himself of a tantalizing demoness. He discovers a paradise along a river suffering because of a horde of demons. It is now up to Esk and the companions he finds along the way to protect this Vale of the Vole.
Heaven Cent The Good Magician has gone missing! Prince Dolph sets out to find Humphrey with the help of Marrow, a skeleton. They go through many challenges while trying to find the Heaven Cent of many tales, a coin that will reveal what has happened to the magician.
Man from Mundania When Princess Ivy uses the Heaven Cent to find the Good Magician, she finds herself in Mundania, the land without magic! She falls in love with a college student there, but he has no belief in magic. He finds out soon enough that there is certainly magic out there.
Isle of View Prince Dolph must choose a fiance, but unfortunately, the candidates aren't ideal. He could marry Nada, but she has no interest in him. And he has no interest in Electra! The third choice, though, choosing neither, will lead them to dire fates. Dolpy gets distracted from this when Che Centaur is kidnapped by goblins. Only Jenny Elf, a kind but inexperienced girl from another world knows where Che is- and she can't help!
