H.A.A.M.G.E.
HAAMGE is the Hideous Amalgamation of All Modern Games Ever. It's an effort on my part to make a Modern Horror RPG that really works to my liking. Call of Cthulhu dries up as the whole "Nameless Horror" bit becomes second nature. But that effect, that genre, is generally what I'm going for.
Basically, this is an effort to steal everything modern and useful that has appeared in RPGs and transplant them into one coherent setting.
- At the ground level is going to be the Cthulhu Mythos, because of the Mindshattering horror it does present. And the power of slowly realizing humanity is completely meaningless in the grand scheme of things.
- White Wolf has provided us a long list of beasts and a rather nice system. The system is completely lifted (with modifications to transplant useful concepts) and the creatures are intigrated.
- Delta Green brings Call of Cthulhu really up to the modern day and provides us with some remarkable villains. It also gives us a nice excuse to be hunters.
- Dark*Matter of the defunct Alternity system gives us a beautiful compendium of conspiracies, new and old. And it goes into depth on a magic system that can be folded into the Mythos rather nicely.
- In Nomine was something I wasn't expecting to use. But I figured out how to make it fit. It just makes sense.
- Chill doesn't give us much, really. SAVE is another excuse to hunt and the psy-powers could be useful, but mostly it just adds a couple of really neat creatures to the list.
- Unfortunately, I don't have a copy of Kult lying around. I have a feeling it has some useful stuff.
System Files:
Character Creation - Quick summary of character creation. It's not very different from most WW stuff. Will eventually have more Merits and Flaws.
Sanity - Rules for porting Sanity into the White Wolf game system. And the same file in Word format.
Mortal Paths - The mystical powers humans belonging to various orginizations possess.
Celestial Paths - The powers of Angels and Demons, along with the soldiers.
Character Sheet - Unfortunately only in Word format. The formatting may change pretty strangely between versions of Word. Consider yourself warned.
Rites - The acts of magic. Will eventually include Mythos magic, among others. For now it has Kronos's Rites, those granted by the Demon Prince of Fate.
