Different Systems:
You can not use freebies to directly buy Willpower. Experience in play will, spend the freebies on Confidence.
Sanity always starts at 10, unless you've chosen to have one or more derangements brought on by mind-shattering sources. Each dot of these will decrease your starting sanity by 1.
Lores can be bought with the permission of your Storyteller for 2 freebies per dot.
Paths and Rites may be bought only if you have a specific Merit allowing it (or Storyteller permission). Paths cost 7 freebies a dot. Rites cost 3 freebies each.
Creating A Mortal:
Follow the steps. All attributes are maximum five. Certain Merits and Flaws are specific to the HAAMGE setting.
Battle Hardened (Mental Merit 2)
Your starting Humanity can not exceed seven, but you are immune to any blood or gore based Sanity loss above 5. Losses of other types and losses of that type from five or below still affect you normally.
Deep One Blood (Social Flaw 3)
As you age, you slowly begin to look more and more fish-like and aquatic. At around the age of thirty-five you will feel the irresistible urge to leave into the see.
Your Appearance maximum is reduced by 1 for every ten years of your age. Anyone with Mythos Lore can make a check at difficulty equal to 5 plus your appearance maximum to detect your taint.
Many with the blood do not expect they have it, so your character may very easily know nothing about this. If you would like to know, buy a point of Mythos Lore.
Psychic Active (Mental Merit 4)
You can purchase Path of the Mind and Path of Telekinesis. You may not start with more than one in either of these.
Creating A Celestial:
Celestials are a little strange. You have some more steps to go through.
Choose whether your Celestial will be an angel or demon.
Choose the Choir of Angel or Band of Demon.
Choirs - Seraphim, Cherubim, Kyriotate, Mercurian, Malakim, Elohim
Band - Balseraph, Djinn, Shedim, Impudite, Lilim, Habbalah
Or you can choose Grigori, but then you don't get a Superior.
Choose a Superior.
Distribute three points worth of path. At least one must be in each your Choir/Band and your Superior. Grigori get one point in the Path of the Grigori and that's it. The same with Rebels and Outcasts.
Work everything else normally.
