Cool Women of History

Writers you might not have heard of

A Room of One's Own
Welcome to Creatrix Anima
A page dedicated to the Creative Spirit of Women and the unique way we express ourselves through art and writing.
What is Creatrix Anima?
It's Latin.  Both words are in the nominative case because they sounded better to me,
so it doesn't really translate very well.
Creatrix is the feminine form of "creator," the meaning of which should be obvious.
Anima means both spirit and breath.
Thus, Creatrix Anima literally translates Creatress Spirit, and not Creatress' Spirit, which would be Creatricis Anima.
But who cares?  If the President can ask "is your children learning," I can screw up some Latin for the sake of aesthetics.
So Creatrix Anima conveys the idea of the feminine creative spirit.

The Spider has been associated with writing in many Native American mythologies.  This one looks like he's typing.  He is, therefore, the guardian of my sight.  Please be kind to him.
